The Cathedral of the Encarnation is a unique example of a 17th century cathedral built as a fortress to prevent the different attacks from North of Africa. The visitor will enjoy its Museum with the work of the excellent Spanish artists Ribera, Murillo and Alonso Cano.

The Alcabaza is the main historic monument in Almería and is one of the largest fortress constructions of this kind in Spain. Visitors will enjoy its stunning views of the city, the port and the Chanca district.

It is located at 30 kilometres from Almería. The desert of Tabernas is the only desert in Europe and was declared natural park in 1989. The singular beauty of its landscape have attracted the cinema industry to this corner of Andalucía, and Tabernas has been the scenario of many movies.
